18 Runs And Tears On The Mound - Wow!

That about covers last nights game against the Jays, doesn't it. The Yankees pounding out 18 runs, including 6 homeruns, and causing a pitcher to shed some tears. (?) I don't think I've ever seen that before. As Ligtenberg was leaving the mound the cameras showed tears on his face. That's frustration! You gotta give him credit for taking one for his team, though. Then Menechino, a utility player, came in to pitch. The Jays couldn't find a pitcher to stop the Yanks, so I guess Menechino must be the ultimate utility guy since he pitches too.

A little scare in the 9th when Sheffield turned his ankle. The good news is that he's OK. Phew!

Tony Clark hits 3 homeruns, the Yankees get 18 runs and Mo gets a save? Weird night, for sure. But I wouldn't mind seeing the boys do that every night. As Andre Agassi says, "You can never beat someone too badly and you never have to walk too far to get to Taco Bell." I don't know about the Taco Bell thing, but the whooping can continue thru November.
